What a great observation and solution. Little GatoGato gave you inspiration to break into your outside world.
Just genius to do it with others with some strange out of the nether void concept. “Would you like a candy?” I love this!
It’s a good reminder that tiny little things that we do can impact the world around us! Also that we can have impact and not be bound and feel helpless, leading to frustration and anger.
The best line here for me was:
“The barista never stopped looking at us like we were aliens”
Thank you so much Mike! Yeah, the little things...
How many times we hear people saying that they "want to do something to make the world a better place" and plan to quit their jobs to devote themselves to helping the poor, the sick, and the disadvantaged?
It is great, right? The good intentions, even if they come from the heart, cost nothing, they are expendable. Eventually, when it comes to do what one say... it's a different story, it's hard. Not for nothing they say "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" :-D
But the little things, they are easy, they are affordable, they give so much joy. Anyone can do it without risk, with open heart and, why not, having fun!
About that barista, yes yes, you had to see her face...
This idea reminds me of an old movie, Brazil, where the biggest act of resistance in that world was unsanctioned plumbing repairs the thwart government bureaucracy! Little things we might take for granted are huge!
BTW in the US there is something called an “Interrupter” in gang violence prevention circles where their job is to interrupt clashes in neighborhoods between people before fighting can escalate. It’s all about catching the momentum and redirecting it before it gets uncontrollable. This feels like that in a little less tense environment.
Now this was a phenomenal read! I will remember that candy story forever I reckon!
I'm so humbled and honored Rananda! Thank you so much.

Great stories Mauro! Made me smile
Thank you Lud!
Love the way you tie all these stories and concepts together linguistically and visually!
